Hi! I’m Megan LaMantia, originally from Houston, TX, and a proud Texas A&M University graduate.
My family is deeply rooted in South Texas, and after spending many years moving across the state, we decided to make McAllen our final stop to raise our boys. Having lived in various places throughout Texas, I understand the challenges of getting to know a new city from just a first impression—let alone envisioning it as home.
McAllen stood out to us as more than just a growing hub for business and innovation. It’s a place where culture, community, and opportunity come together. With its vibrant arts scene, rich cultural heritage, affordable cost of living, and the natural beauty of the Rio Grande Valley, McAllen offers a unique family friendly lifestyle that's hard to find elsewhere. From excellent schools and a thriving culinary scene to endless outdoor recreational activities, it’s a city that truly has something for everyone.
The concept behind our idea grew from this personal journey. We help recruits and their families see how McAllen’s unique environment fits into their lives, both professionally and personally, helping them envision the city as a place where they can grow and thrive. In doing so, we assist local employers in attracting and retaining top talent, ensuring that our community continues to flourish.

Born and raised in central Arkansas, I am a southern gal through and through. I attended the University of Arkansas at Little Rock and then the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences. My work began in laboratory medicine, but after having twins and one more shortly thereafter, my hardest job began - becoming a mother.
My three girls keep me busy and have been a great way to integrate my family, and me, in our community. Before moving to the Rio Grande Valley, I had never lived outside of central Arkansas. We were so excited about this amazing opportunity, but transitioning to a new place seemed overwhelming.
I had so many questions and needed so much help finding my new village of people and learning where we could develop new roots.
Our family was blessed to have so much help and putting down those roots became easier as we built our village. I fell in love with the city and all it has to offer.
I want to do my part to help the Valley attract talented professionals and assist families (just like mine) in hopes they too, will quickly realize how special the RGV is to live, work, and play.
